The blessing in disguise

For those of you who are familiar with the Mass Address story, I have closure regarding a situation which occurred around 2016-2017. Yesterday, I received notification that the VA awarded me disability for my injuries I sustained in the US Air Force. I also received back pay from the time I first applied. Needless to say, I had some extra money to pay bills with. I thought about the best place I could use this money. The spirit reminded me of a verbal obligation I had with an owner of a property I used to rent.

I owed this man $800. However, the spirit told me I needed to give him $1000. So I withdrew the $1000 and headed down to his office. I spoke with the lady at the front desk. I said my name was Edward Hood and I’m here to pay XXXX some money I owed him. XXXX responded to the page and said it would be about 10 minutes before he could come to the front to get me.

After about 10 minutes, XXXX strolls in and says, “Edward it’s been a long time, how are you?” I said good. I just wanted to come by and give you some money I owed you. He said, “Come on back to the office.” So we head to his office and talk for like 20-30 minutes. He wanted to know what had been going on with me and what I was up to nowadays.

I explained how G-d had restored my marriage and that I was building a new service for the American people. I spent about 5-10 minutes explaining Mass Address. I need you to know something about this man. We’re not friends. I’ve probably seen this man 3 times in my life. We’re just 2 Airman connected by our service in the Air Force. He was also my landlord at one point. I owed him money because he had to repaint the inside of the house I rented. The tree of life wall decal I applied in the living room took paint off the wall when it was removed and he didn’t have the paint codes to repaint that wall. He had to repaint the whole thing.

So after about 15-20 minutes of sharing my life story for the past 5 years, he asked. “How much money do you have there?” I said $1000. It was all cash withdrawn at the ATM. I handed it over to him. He hands it back. He said, put it into your business. 😲 I said, are you sure? He said, “yes!” He commended me on my integrity and was simply amazed I fulfilled my word after 5 years of zero contact. He may have forgotten but I did not. He said, “Don’t spend that money. Invest it into your business.” I said, yes sir. Thank you.

So we shook hands and I left his office. I asked DOMI Station how I should invest this money. The director told me to take the $1000 and find $249K more. So, that’s what I am going to do. I just have to figure out the best solution. There are plenty of businesses out there that specialize in helping startups get connected with investors. I can either invest in those platforms or figure out another way. The point is, I am tasked with taking $1000 and turning it into $249K.

This is what makes or breaks a startup. How you manage $1 bills will determine if you can manage or even receive $100 bills. Mass Address is hella expensive. It won’t take much to keep it going but to get this rocket off of the ground costs a lot.
